Korean War
It would seem the US Army forgot all they had learned about subdued insignia
by the outbreak of the Second World War. Branch insignia for field wear were
made from polished metals with bright enameled colors.
Insignia shown are the officers' versions. Enlisted soldiers wore a smaller
version, without colors, superimposed on a metal disc of polished brass on
the service and dress uniform. The Branch names are displayed using the 1950's
Branch color(s).
