U.S. ARMY BRANCH INSIGNIA

Korean War

It would seem the US Army forgot all they had learned about subdued insignia by the outbreak of the Second World War. Branch insignia for field wear were made from polished metals with bright enameled colors.
Insignia shown are the officers' versions. Enlisted soldiers wore a smaller version, without colors, superimposed on a metal disc of polished brass on the service and dress uniform. The Branch names are displayed using the 1950's Branch color(s).
